Family Update... with Baby C details :)

The shock of finding out we were pregnant is starting to wear off and the JOY is starting to fill our hearts. We definitely did not think that we would be blessed with another bundle of joy, especially this soon, but God's plan is obviously a wee bit different than what we had been thinking. At the time we found out we were pregnant Jon had just lost his job at Gentex and we were pretty stressed, okay TOTALLY stressed about what we were going to do financially. Since then God has answered prayers and Jon is now working full time at the Country Inn and Suites and LOVES it!!! Although the loss of his job at Gentex was difficult, at the same time it was a blessing in disguise. Jon is SO much happier where he's at now and we actually feel confident with some job security which as you all know is hard to come by these days. God is good!!!

Our Christmas break has been full of mixed feelings this year. The joy of our girls has completely blessed us in so many ways. Big C has asked a lot of questions this year and it has been our privilege being able to tell her all about the true meaning of Christmas and the best part is that she "gets it"... it's AWESOME!!!

Sadly we lost a member of our family this Christmas... Grandma R. passed away on December 27. Although it is so hard to "officially" say good-bye, we also rejoice in knowing that she is no longer suffering and is celebrating in heaven.

Again this has brought on many questions from Big C, and we have been able to talk about death and life and what our lives here on earth are all about.

In the midst of sadness we were able to experience the joy of new life by hearing Baby C's heartbeat at my last doctor's appointment. It was such a blessing to hear that beautiful sound. The pregnancy is going well, and baby sounded awesome... heartbeat was in the 150's :) I am anxiously awaiting the 2nd trimester and am hopeful to regain some energy and get some things done that I've been putting off... okay... I guess part of it is sheer laziness, but it's much more fun blaming it on the pregnancy... LOL!!!

At this time Baby C is due around the 1st week of July, but because of my previous C-Sections, we can expect Baby C to join our family the end of June. At our next appointment we'll be scheduling the "big" ultrasound... and YES... we are going to try to find out the sex of the baby this time... no more surprises for this mama... LOL!!!
